Fleet Alliance launches used EVs within Gensen Salary Sacrifice.

The addition of new functionality enables Fleet Alliance to widen access to salary sacrifice as the used EV market continues to grow.

Fleet Alliance is a long-standing client of BCF Wessex, with the partnership commencing as long ago as 2012 when we ran our first fleet tax and finance training, helping FA's team to enhance their knowledge of whole life costs and how these can deliver better value to customers.

With further training and consultancy in the intervening years, in 2020 we enabled Fleet Alliance to bring its insight directly to customers with the launch of Gensen Cars.

But true partnership kicked off in 2021 when we jointly developed and launched Fleet Alliance's online salary sacrifice quotation platform, with the respective teams working closely to further develop the platform in the years since.

Jointly driving progress within Gensen Salary Sacrifice and e-Fleet, we've since worked to offer customers an integrated, retail-focused platform, which now enables Fleet Alliance to offer customers a wider choice of vehicles while making salary sacrifice accessible to a broader range of drivers as the used EV market continues to grow.

The enhancement comes as the UK’s used EV market continues to gather pace, with a record 86,943 used battery electric vehicles changing hands during Q1 2026, up 32% on the same period last year, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). Meanwhile, Auto Trader reports that enquiries for used EVs rose 27% year-on-year, with demand for three-to-six-year-old electric vehicles up 50%.

BCF Wessex believes these market trends create a significant opportunity for Fleet Alliance to expand the reach of salary sacrifice beyond employees who may have previously considered a brand-new EV beyond their budget, thereby helping employers strengthen recruitment, retention, and employee wellbeing through a more accessible benefit offering.

The new functionality is now available in Gensen Salary Sacrifice, BCF Wessex's online quotation platform, allowing Fleet Alliance to offer personalised salary sacrifice quotations for eligible used EVs alongside its existing new vehicle offering. The initial rollout is supported through Lex Autolease's used vehicle stock and is available immediately to leasing brokers using the platform.

The launch reflects the continued evolution of the salary sacrifice market as more ex-fleet EVs enter the used vehicle market and demand for lower-cost electric motoring continues to grow.

Alongside the new functionality, BCF Wessex continues to provide the specialist consultancy, technical support, scheme design, documentation, and training that underpin its salary sacrifice proposition, helping Fleet Alliance to implement compliant, commercially robust schemes with confidence.

Here's Grant Boardman, Fleet Sales Director at Fleet Alliance, on our partnership:

"Jeff, Ike and the BCF Wessex team have become a core part of our business.

It's a two-way partnership where we're able to have open, engaging conversations about how we continually develop the technology to meet the vehicle leasing and salary sacrifice demands of our clients."

Jeff Whitcombe, Founder at BCF Wessex, said:

"Salary sacrifice has played a significant role in accelerating EV adoption, but ensuring its affordable to everyone is a challenge for many employers. Used EVs represent a natural evolution of the market, allowing the benefits of salary sacrifice to be extended to a much wider audience while continuing to support the transition to electric vehicles.

As the used EV market matures, by incorporating used cars within Gensen Salary Sacrifice Fleet Alliance is able to meet the increasing demand for more affordable routes into EV ownership and deliver additional value to its customers."
